(Also in ATR Neural Information Analysis Laboratories)
I develop machine learning methods for processing and analyzing multivariate data, with a particular interest in unsupervised techniques. Recent focus is on exploratory data analysis of multivariate brain signals, such as EEG, MEG, fMRI and fNIRS. Past research topics also include general statistical methodology, human behavior modeling for intelligent user interfaces, and computational modeling of brain functions.
Research interests
- Theory and algorithm of machine learning and statistical signal processing
- Neurophysiological data analysis and brain-computer (machine) interfaces
- Intelligent and assistive human-computer interactions
- Computational neuroscience and natural signal (image) statistics
