We recently released v1.08 of BrainLiner.jp, our web portal for sharing time-aligned neurophysiological data.

The big announcement in the new release is the added ability to download .mat (Matlab v7.3) files, in addition to Neuroshare.

The other day we released the latest version of our web portal for sharing neurophysiological and behavioral data, http://brainliner.jp/

New Features Include:

• New light-colored design
• Ability to download an entire project with as a single .zip file
• Integration with FaceBook, Twitter, and Google+
• Ability to choose between Creative Commons (CC-0 and CC-BY) licenses for your uploaded data, or create your own.
• Automatic separation between data and supplementary files that are uploaded.
• Improved search performance

Takafumi Yanigasawa, a member at our lab from Osaka University, won the Young Investigator Award at ICCN 2010 in Kobe.

The head of our lab, Dr. Kamitani, has an interview in the latest issue of The New Tough – 「”The Dream Recorder,” The New Tough <http://thenewtough.com/>　Issue 5, “Science”, Fall 2010」. Be careful, though, as a creative magazine, it may not be safe for work.

Forbes recently posted an article covering some of our recent research on brain activity in human dreams. You can read the article HERE.

Our paper, “Simultaneous recording of ECoG and intracortical neuronal activity using a flexible multichannel electrode-mesh in visual cortex,” was recently accepted to Neuroimage.

We released our Brain Decoder Toolbox (BDTB), which is a set of Matlab functions to decode brain activity. We use it for our own research and we are making it publicly available in the hopes that other people may find it interesting.

Our paper, Fujiwara Y., Miyawaki Y. and Kamitani Y. Estimating image bases for visual image reconstruction from human brain activity.
