5月17日 Ganesh Gowrishankar研究員は、IEEE Transactions on Roboticsの趣旨にそった最も優れた論文（年間1本）に送られる 2011 King-Sun Fu Memorial IEEE Transactions on Robotics Best Paper Awardを受賞した。受賞対象論文は以下の通りで、第一、第二著者は同等の貢献度（論文中にも記載有）。
