rs-fMRI Protocol

“Development of BMI Technologies for Clinical Application” of the Strategic Research Program for Brain Sciences organized the Decoded Neurofeedback (DecNef) Project. In this project, we determined the unified protocol for measurement of resting-state functional magnetic resonance (rs-fMRI) data.

Our purpose is to understand mechanisms of DecNef, which is an effective method for modification of brain activity patterns using mathematical and statistical techniques, and to improve this method. We will develop biomarkers of multiple psychiatric disorders based on multi-site datasets. We determined the unified protocol consisting of more than 50 items about measurement and analysis of rs-fMRI, from which biomarkers are derived.
